This is a hands-on individual-contributor role with broad visibility across purchasing, inventory, production, packaging, warehousing and wholesale fulfillment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Procurement:

  • Maintain established inventory pars and translate approved forecasts and department requests into timely purchase orders.
  • Forecast and procure packaging materials and supplies required to support production and packaging schedules.
  • Create, maintain and track purchase orders from approval through delivery.
  • Monitor vendor pricing, lead times and performance; recommend alternative suppliers when appropriate.
  • Match purchase orders, receipts and invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors and department managers.
  • Coordinate taproom purchasing requests for merchandise, retail supplies and operating materials.

Inventory & Logistics Oversight:

  • Maintain accurate ERP inventory records for packaging materials, supplies, contract-produced beer and finished goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, excess inventory and potential obsolescence.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries, taproom transfers, wholesale shipments and other product movements.
  • Communicate receiving, transfer and shipment requirements to the Production Manager and Warehouse and Operations team.
  • Anticipate material and scheduling conflicts and escalate risks before they affect production or customer orders.
  • Coordinate regular inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.

Production & Packaging Logistics:

  • Translate wholesale demand and sales commitments into required packaging and finished-goods completion dates.
  • Confirm that cans, ends, labels, trays, cartons and other packaging materials are available before scheduled packaging runs.
  • Communicate required completion dates to the Production Manager and monitor finished-goods readiness.
  • Coordinate shipment timing among Production, Sales, Hospitality, Operations and wholesale partners.
  • Escalate material shortages or timing risks that could prevent on-time fulfillment.

Contract Production:

  • Create and maintain purchase orders, outsourced production records and related ERP transactions for contract-produced beer.
  • Coordinate materials, packaging requirements and production timing with contract-production partners.
  • Record finished-goods receipts and reconcile production quantities, materials and inventory.
  • Track contract-produced inventory and coordinate shipment timing with wholesale partners.

Wholesale Operations:

  • Partner with the VP of Operations to maintain wholesale projections and translate approved forecasts into purchasing, packaging and fulfillment requirements.
  • Create and coordinate monthly sales orders with wholesale partners.
  • Allocate available finished goods to approved orders and coordinate shipment timing.
  • Maintain accurate item, purchasing, inventory and order records in NetSuite/Crafted ERP.
  • Follow and recommend improvements to purchasing, inventory and fulfillment SOPs.
  • Analyze inventory and fulfillment data to identify potential waste, shortages and process improvements.

Ideal Traits:

  • Experience with beverage packaging materials, including cans, ends, labels, trays, cartons, and printed packaging, strongly preferred.
  • Strong sense of ownership with a hands-on, collaborative mindset.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with experience managing purchasing cycles and inventory systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
  • Familiar with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), vendor management, and demand planning.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, evolving environment with shifting priorities.

Attributes:

  • The desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company.
  • Positive outlook and attitude, with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Resourceful and creative.
  • Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.
  • Extreme attention to detail, as well as strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple processes at one time.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional time-management skills.
